North Dekalb Veterinary Clinic has been serving the Decatur community for
over 30 years. The clinic, originally opened by Dr. Marvin Livingston, was sold
in September of 1997 to Dr. Max Katz. Since that time, the building and staff
have both changed to meet our clients needs. In addition, most of the
equipment was updated or replaced in order to allow us to expand the range of
medical services available. We currently offer a broad range of services
including:
Preventative medicine, Medical diagnostics, Radiology, Surgery, Dentistry, Limited
Chemotherapy, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, minor Orthopedics, and
Behavioral Consultations. Please see our "Services" page for more details.
Moreover, you may have benefited from our home hospice care as well as our
strong emphasis on client education. Whenever possible, we encourage our
clients to take an active roll in their pets medical care. The doctors and staff of
North Dekalb Veterinary Clinic also follow up regularly with our patients by
contacting clients following most office visits. We are always happy to consult
with current clients via phone and strive to keep ourselves available for our
patients medical needs.
North Dekalb Veterinary Clinic works hard to offer the best possible care for
our patients. Both the doctors and staff participate in continuing education
programs in order to stay abreast of current medical advances. Clinic
equipment is updated on a regular basis to offer safer anesthesia, better
radiology services, and fast, accurate laboratory testing. We also work closely
with area specialists in medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, and dermatology.
Recently, we added online pharmacy services for our clients to make
prescription refills more convenient and to also allow us greater access to less
common medicines that can sometimes be difficult to obtain.
Attention:
We now offer microchipping for pet identification. In addition to the standard
microchips, we also carry the Eurochip for those planning overseas trips with
their pets.
Please visit the "news and events" page for important information on
toxoplasmosis, vaccinations, microchipping, and other news.
