Most of us pet parents would agree we are pretty protective of our 4-legged babies, so finding a great vet is a daunting task in a city as large as Atlanta. North Dekalb has met all of our demands, plus exceeded our expectations with service and quality. In addition to spending the time it takes to go over everything with you about your pet while you're in the clnic, they have a service where you can speak with the vets after hours in an emergency...it's extremely rare to find vets that are willing to offer that level of service these days so that should tell you how these doctors go above and beyond - they truly care about your pets and their health and well-being. Great place, highly recommended!

Dr. Katz is one of the most personable vets I have ever met. He made my dog feel comfortable in spite her being scared of strangers. Highly recommended group.

I've brought my dog and cat here for over a year now and have always had exceptional service. I have never had to wait a long time, which I appreciate. When my cat (Maya) got cancer and the hubby and I had to put her to sleep, Dr. Bell was very accommodating and let us take as long as we needed to say our goodbyes. It was a very stressful situation but we were give sufficient time to say goodbye.
We continue to see Dr. Bell to this day for our doggie Katie, who has allergies, fair skin, and short hair - so she's a mess. LOVE you guys at N. Dek. Vet~

My cell rings who do you think it was DR KATZ calling me to see if everything was alright with my dog! Enough said!!

I have since moved away from Atlanta, but I deeply miss Dr. Katz and his vet clinic. While living in Atlanta, I went to Dr. Katz for three and a half years. Never have I felt so comfortable and so confident in a vet. Dr. Katz is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and caring. I had adopted a retired seeing eye dog who was sick for the entire year I had the pleasure of having her in my life. He helped me through every ear infection, allergy reaction, and eventual kidney failure. My subsequent labs were lucky to be Dr. Katz's patients as well.
There are things that Dr. Katz does that just show he cares. First of all, he goes down to the floor to examine big dogs, he doesn't put big dogs on examining tables like I've seen numerous vets do. Dr. Katz calls you at the end of the day after a office visit to make sure you pet is doing ok. Dr. Katz goes above and beyond to help his patients. I truly miss him and his clinic.
I live in Chicago now, and in the past few years, I have been to 5 different vets. I still have not found one I trust as much as I trust Dr. Katz.

There is no better vet!!! We have seen Dr. Katz for over 20 years. A few years ago, we moved from the Decatur area to Gwinnett County. It is not convenient to bring our babies in, but we wouldn't consider letting anyone else care for them. We know that Dr. Katz will make certain the very best of care is provided whether it is an annual exam or an emergency. And, we know there is no better diagnostician or DMV anywhere. Add to that his true love for animals and compassionate nature and VOILA! you have THE BEST! Thank you, Dr. Katz, for all you and your staff do!

I am a licensed veterinary technician and have been working in the veterinary dermatology field for over 10 years. I moved to Atlanta about 2 and 1/2 years ago and the clinic where I worked received referrals from Dr. Katz on a regular basis. The care and dedication he provided to those patients made me choose him when my own pet needed an exam for a tooth infection/possible abscess and dental. Dr. Katz was very professional yet friendly and engaging and called that evening to check on my pet and welcome us to his practice (HIMSELF, not one of his staff). I refer all of my pet-sitting clients and clients at the specialty clinic where I work to Dr. Katz. He is exceptional!
Dr.Katz & Dr. Lloyd have shown me the very best when it comes to veterinary care for my 2 dogs. Their competency, there dedication goes beyond what I had experienced in other practices back in St.Louis.
Keep up the excellent practice!!!
I’ve been taking my rescue Hank to North DeKalb Vet for nearly two years. A few months ago, my pup was bitten by another dog at his doggie daycare and it required surgery. I immediately called the vet and Dr. Bell and her staff made sure to see him as soon as possible. They even stayed after hours to perform surgery on my dog and called daily to check on his status. Even their reception staff helped ease me while I was sitting worried about my dog and their general interest in Hank warmed my heart. That kind of care showed me just how much they love their patients and I’m so thankful for their help when my Hank needed it most.
I absolutely love these people. Dr. Lloyd is definately the cat whisperer. I have had 3 cats in 5 years that he has taken care of. He is a great doctor and my cats like him. Everyone on the staff is compasionate and willing to do whats necessary to get your baby in to the office. They even follow up to make sure everything is ok. I have never had a better kitty doctor. I have referred several friends to this practice and they are all very happy. No matter where you live in metro Atlanta, it is worth it to visit this office.
Please read my blog post raves about Dr. Lloyd, who earns my kitty’s loudest purrs even while he manages her health care.

My wife Audra and I moved to Atlanta in 1994, we have had the pleasure to have Dr. Katz and the staff at North DeKalb clinic caring for our pets for the last 17 years. The staff is very kind and carrying. We had the honor to help them rescue MAX after the staff and the clinic spend hours and at considerable expense caring for him back to heath. We live 45 minutes away and its worth the drive knowing that our pets are going to get the best care.
Thanks for caring for our family members for so many years,
Les & Audra Peterson
